Kids Kayak Day Camp

This is a kayak day camp for kids age 9 to 15. It runs from Monday to Friday starting at 9:00 am until 3:30pm from our Brentwood paddling centre. No previous experience is necessary, but agility and fitness are valuable.

Everyone has the opportunity to learn to paddle in the right size kayak for their stature, while experiencing and learning about the seawater environment. We will be paddling in shallow water, with the sea life right below, stopping on beaches and exploring the islands and shorelines of Tod Inlet and Brentwood Bay. Safety is foremost, but fun and adventure rule.

The third session (ages 14 - 15) includes an overnight on the Thursday night.

Bring: sun protection, (glasses, hat, sunscreen) a rain jacket or windbreaker, appropriate footwear for water and rocky beaches, water bottle, lunch, a drink and some light healthy snacks.

First session: July 5 - 9, 2010   (ages 9-11)
